PROFESSIONAL SPRAY TANNING

Always exfoliate and remove any unwanted body hair 24 hours before your spray tan appointment to ensure pores are closed. Make sure your skin is free from any moisturiser, perfume, deodorant and essential oils just before your tan application, if you are coming straight from work, wipes can be provided for removal.

Warning - wearing deodorant before your appointment or not removing it correctly can lead to green armpits!

Come to your appointment in loose, dark clothing OR bring some in a bag with you, pyjamas are always a comfortable option. Shorts, dresses and nighties and joggers with cuffs at the ankle should be avoided to prevent rub off during the tanning development. Wide leg pyjamas and an oversized T-shirt with easy to slip on footwear is the perfect option!

You need to wait a minimum of 4 hours before showering but 8 hours is recommended. Most clients will sleep overnight before showering in the morning, the tan stops processing after 8 hours. If you have had an Express tan then you wash after 1|2|3 hours depending on the results you want.

This is due to the unique blend of tanning agents and skin conditioning ingredients that work to the individual’s skin tone to deliver a natural finish that will not develop ‘orange’.  The St.Tropez Dark tan range contains innovative Melanin Technology™ to ensure your tan tailors to your individual skin tone. The tanning agent (Vegetan Premium) targets more of the brown pigments in the skin for a darker, but natural tan.

Maintain your tan for up to 3 days longer by moisturizing daily to keep skin hydrated and ensuring an even fade. 

Avoid swimming, saunas and hot tubs as the chlorine will make your tan fade. This also applies for swimming in the sea.

Yes, but not until after 12 weeks. Please discuss with your midwife or GP. You will need to have a patch test even if you have had one / a spray tan before.

St. Tropez can be used on skin disorders such as eczema, this will be discussed with you during consultation, however no spray tans can be applied where there is open skin.

A tan can help to reduce the appearance of stretch marks and scars. Results are individual to each client and their skin type and tone.

Bethan Louise Studio is used to younger tanning clientele for weddings, cheerleading/gymnastic competitions and proms. You will need to bring a parent or guardian to the appointment. Please note that this is the ONLY treatment available at the salon for under-16's.

St. Tropez brand is cruelty-free and against animal testing: They do not conduct animal testing for any products or ingredients and do not ask anyone to test them on animals on their behalf. The only testing conducted is with a panel of volunteers in clinical tests and user trials to assess the safety of finished products.
